Type. Or just talk.
Loquela is a full Android keyboard — QWERTY, autocorrect, punctuation, everything you'd expect — that also happens to have real speech-to-text built directly in. Plenty of apps do voice dictation. None of them are just your keyboard, doing it everywhere you type.
It's a keyboard first.
Full QWERTY. Autocorrect. Punctuation. Everything you already use a keyboard for — voice is just built in, not bolted on the side as a separate app you have to remember exists.
What that gets you
Speech-to-text, built in
No separate dictation app to switch to. Tap the mic key right on the keyboard and start talking in any app.
Free, on-device, by default
The keyboard and voice typing are free and run entirely on your phone. Internet is only needed for optional paid plans that unlock larger cloud models.
Nothing you type trains anything
As of today, no typing data, corrections, or voice audio are collected or shared — not even to improve suggestions.
Edit without lifting a finger
Move word by word, fix a mistake, or say “period” and “comma” to punctuate — all without leaving voice mode.
How it works
Turn on the Loquela keyboard
Settings → System → Languages & input → On-screen keyboard → enable Loquela.
Tap the mic key
Anywhere you can type — messages, notes, search — tap the mic on the Loquela keyboard.
Watch your words appear
Loquela transcribes as you talk, right in the text field. Tap again to stop.
Private by default
Loquela sees everything you type — so here's exactly what we do with that: nothing. As of today, no typing data, corrections, or voice audio are collected or shared, not even to improve suggestions. Voice is transcribed on-device by default, for free. An internet connection is only used for optional paid plans that unlock larger, cloud-hosted models — never required for the core keyboard.

We're building live, multi-language translation for group conversations — three or more people, talking naturally, translated in real time. It's in development, not in your hands yet, but it's next.
Loquela is heading to Google Play
We're in closed testing now. Check back soon, or reach out if you'd like to try it early.
